Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, seeks a Patient Care Technician for full-time night shifts. The PCT provides patient care, assists with activities of daily living, monitors vitals, aids mobility, performs phlebotomy, POCT, EKGs, and specimen collection under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus a qualifying certification program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certifications listed include NCP/CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent per ad.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document vital signs and condition changes.
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and patient safety.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, specimen collection, and Foley catheter care as needed.
