Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the night shift. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients, and supporting RN staff in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities cover vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, and catheter care, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation within EMR systems.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required with eligible certification options listed.
• Relevant CNA/NCPCT/NCMA/NCPCT certification or program completion preferred.
• Experience in patient care or clinical training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs, mobility and ambulation, and basic diagnostics.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and EKG testing.
• Assist with specimen collection, Foley catheter insertion/removal, and IV removal as needed.
• Document observations accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
