Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for part-time, night shifts in Williamsburg, VA. The role supports patient care, ADLs, monitoring vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, and Foley catheter management under RN supervision.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent and one of several certifications (CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or Navy corps school) plus Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required, with one of the listed certifications.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Multiple certification options accepted (CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, etc.).
• Experience with patient care tasks and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and document changes.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Assist with Foley catheter insertion and removal as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report changes to RN/medical staff.
