Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medicine Unit. The role supports adult patients with acute and chronic conditions, including seniors, with compassionate, dependable, and flexible care.

Shifts are Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on the Medicine Unit, and candidates should have education from the listed programs or comparable clinical experience. The position offers base pay with potential shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Requirements: One of the following programs is acceptable for education: Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School, Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, or current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of a (RN, LPN, RT or PT) or current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.

Unit Description: The Medicine Unit - 4 James is looking for qualified nurses who will provide care to acute and chronic care patients with a variety of comorbidities from the age of 18 years of age and up, with a special love for our senior population. Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.93 - $27.41 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
