Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the Ambulatory Services - Urology team. The role supports nurses and therapists with direct and indirect patient care and helps maintain a safe, patient-centered environment.

You will safely transport patients, handle supplies and materials, and participate in QA/QI activities while gaining hands-on clinical exposure in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HiSET with 1 year of full-time direct patient experience.
• High School Diploma or HiSET with 3 years of full-time healthcare experience.
• High School Diploma or HiSET with 3 years of full-time face-to-face customer service experience.
• Matriculation in a Nursing Program.

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time direct patient experience
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a healthcare setting
3. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time face-to-face customer service experience
4. Matriculation in a Nursing Program

NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous direct patient care experience, preferably as a Patient Care Technician, along with experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting. Strong customer service skills, a patient-centered approach, and prior healthcare experience are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be compassionate, professional, and able to effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team while providing exceptional support and care.
