Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician for the 7 Mountain Phoenix Unit. The role includes day/evening/night shifts with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates meeting guidelines. The job focuses on basic nursing care, patient assistance, documentation, and unit support to improve patient flow and outcomes.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: None.
• Licensure/Certification: A Certified Nursing Assistant is required if working in a critical access facility.
• Other qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; orientation and competency validation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides basic nursing care and assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Documents and reports patient observations to licensed staff.
• Transports patients, supplies, specimens, equipment within the facility.
• Contributes to unit quality improvement activities.
• Assists with registration, patient flow, and coordination of care.
• May perform phlebotomy or nonsterile wound care where competent.
