Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a PRN Day Shift nursing support role to assist with patient care across our facilities. You will be responsible for basic care tasks, monitoring vital signs, and supporting licensed caregivers in daily operations.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus 6 months of healthcare experience and a current BLS certification. Ability to float to HonorHealth locations and work 12-hour day shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months healthcare experience in the last year required.
• BLS certification required.
• Block 1 Nursing completion or MA/NA/EMT/BHT acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision from a licensed caregiver, including ADLs, vitals, and care plan implementation.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and document medical records accurately.
• Answer questions or concerns from patients and families and coordinate with care team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
• Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
• Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED Required

EXPERIENCE

• Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
• 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred
