Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix is seeking a PRN Night Shift CNA/Healthcare Support member to provide patient care in a busy hospital setting. Shifts run 12 hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Weekend and holiday rotations are required, with appropriate night and evening differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• CNA/EMT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the supervision of a licensed caregiver.
• Assists with activities of daily living, vital signs, intake/output, and documentation.
• Observes and reports patient condition changes to the licensed caregiver.
• Addresses questions from patients and families and supports care team communication.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or GED RequiredEXPERIENCEOther Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required6 months in acute care experience.
