Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) for the Norfolk General Resource Pool. We offer Part Time and Full Time roles across Day and Night Shifts, with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

The PCT role includes patient care, vital signs, mobility, phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, Foley catheter care, and reporting changes to the RN. A CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent credential is required, and a BLS within 90 days.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required with one of the listed credentials.
• Certification programs such as CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or Navy hospital corps are acceptable.
• EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic credentials considered.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year of healthcare experience is preferred.

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs, mobility, and observations accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection, and IV or Foley-related tasks.
• Maintain safety practices and escalate changes to the RN or medical staff.
