Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the nursing team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, record observations, and enter data into the EMR under RN supervision.

This 36 hrs/wk role features a combination of shifts (19-07 and 23-07), holiday rotation, and a focus on safe, compassionate care. The position offers benefits such as Paid time off, health insurance, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Writes, reads, speaks, and comprehends fluent English.
• Be able to complete a basic computer course on the Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Partners with RN and healthcare team to achieve patient care goals.
• Records data in EMR and maintains accurate documentation.
• Demonstrates awareness of patient and personal safety.
• Performs tasks as directed by RN and team members.
