Job summary

Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, MO, seeks a Patient Care Technician under RN/LPN supervision to assist in individualized patient care and support the care team. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and participation in Mercy's training program.

No prior experience required; 175-hour state-mandated training during new hire orientation must be completed within 90 days. BLS is required within 1 month of hire, PCT competencies within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare program, or current Mercy coworker.
• Certifications: BLS within 1 month, PCT competencies within 3 months.
• Experience: None required.
• Other: Must meet physical requirements (lift 50 lbs, stand/walk).
• Preferred: EMT/Paramedic or CPCT/AUA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in individualized patient care to achieve wellness.
• Works as part of a team and supports clinical and non-clinical tasks.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and supports care delivery.

Education
