Medical Assistant

Location: Fairfax, Virginia

Pay From: $21 per hour

Must Have:

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Medical Assistant diploma
• Experience assisting providers with exams and procedures
• Obtaining vitals
• Strong EMR documentation skills
• Ability to learn new skills easily
• Experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care
• High School diploma

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical and administrative duties
• Room patients and prepare them for examination and treatment
• Take patient histories and vital signs
• Assist with exams and procedures
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
• Administer injections
• Maintain supplies and equipment, including cleaning and sterilization
• Assist with scheduling appointments
• Maintain patient records and files
• Attend meetings and participate in committees as needed
• Work closely with providers for guidance and treatment
• Perform direct patient care as instructed
• Complete documentation for all patients
• Provide excellent customer service
• Manage telephone messages for doctors
