El Paso Children’s Hospital Corporation is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing care team under RN supervision. You will assist with ADLs, monitor patient status, and document communications while promoting safety and cost-effective care.

This role requires strong clinical skills, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Formación

• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support).
• CPT, CNA, EMT, or CMA certification(s) required.
• Competent in clinical skills required of Patient Care Technician.
• Proficient in venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Registered Nurse in ADL (activities of daily living) support.
• Communicate and document patients’ status.
• Participate in continuing education, surveys and staff meetings as directed.
• Promote patient safety and cost-effective care environment.

Position SummaryFunctions as a key member of the nursing care team by participating in the implementation of select components of the patient’s plan of care under the direct training of the Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, and Director. Promotes exceptional customer service with patients and their families and makes recommendations for improved patient care and the promotion and maintenance of a safe, cost-effective healthcare environment. Assists the Registered Nurse in providing ADL (activities of daily living) needs of patients. Communicates and documents patients’ status. Participates in various continuing education programs, surveys and attends staff meetings as directed. Follows hospital policies and procedures supporting performance improvement efforts in patient care services.
