UF Health in Leesburg, FL, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Emergency Room team for night shifts. This part-time role focuses on direct patient support, basic care, and assisting nurses in procedures to ensure a safe, calm environment for patients.

The ideal candidate has post-high-school training, completion of a PCT program, and current BLS certification, with English proficiency required for communication within the team and with patients.

• Successful completion of a Patient Care Technician (PCT) training program required.
• Patient Care Technician certification OR Nursing Assistant certification required.
• BLS required.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director and Charge RN, the Patient Care Technician/HST supports patient care by providing basic physical care, assisting with procedures, providing comfort measures, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.

Qualifications

Education & Training
