Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our day-shift team as a full-time position. You will assist nursing staff with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, help with activities of daily living, and ensure a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications include 0-2 years in acute care, High School Diploma, BCLS within 90 days, and CNA preferred or pursued. You will work under RN/LPN supervision and follow safety and infection control protocols while

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record vitals and other data; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support daily living activities (meals, bathing, grooming) and mobility.
• Assist with specimen collection and glucose monitoring as needed.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team; adhere to safety protocols.
• Follow infection control policies and PPE usage; participate in improvement initiatives.
