Job summary

The role requires completion of a CNA program and CNA license (post-2020 hires). BLS may be required. Strong communication and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Certification program required.
• All new hires after 08/09/2020 must have a CNA License.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) with 6 months validity may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care support under RN supervision including hygiene, safety, nutrition, and comfort.
• Assists with positioning, supplies, and basic procedures as directed.
• Monitors vital signs, mobility, feeding, IVs, and personal hygiene.
• Prepares and cleans exam and treatment areas between patient use.
• Transports patients and handles routine department tasks as needed.
• Assists with office duties such as answering phones and messages.
