Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee, Kansas seeks a patient care technician to support licensed nurses in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will perform vital signs, document in the EMR, use PPE as required, and participate in safety and quality initiatives while pursuing ongoing skills development. Requires a high school diploma and BLS CPR certification; 1+ year PCT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
• 1+ years of applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Records vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record.
• Documents procedures accurately and follows department policies.
• Functions appropriately during clinical emergencies.
• Supports quality initiatives and performance improvement efforts.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
