Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in delivering quality, compassionate care. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform non-licensed patient care duties and help promote teamwork across the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.).
• Nursing student with completion of nursing fundamentals course within 90 days of employment.
• Previous documented work experience as a PCT, Nurse Assistant, EMT or Surgical Tech within the last 3 years.
• Successful completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse, perform non-licensed patient care.
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
• Contribute to delivering high quality, safe patient care in alignment with hospital policies.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current state licensure as CNA

Nursing student completing fundamentals within 90 days

PCT/Nurse Assistant/EMT/Surgical Tech experience (last 3 years)

Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program completion (last 3 years)
