Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Atlanta is seeking a nursing support assistant to provide patient care and observation under the supervision of an RN or LPN.

You will communicate with patients and families, assist with procedures, document care, and help transport specimens and supplies as needed.

This role supports a healing, patient-focused environment, upholds safety and infection-control practices, and assists with admissions and discharges as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS required at minimum.
• Must meet one of: one year of direct patient care experience; nursing assistant training; GA CNA license; current enrollment with 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and observation under RN/LPN direction.
• Communicates with patients, families and care team.
• Maintains unit competencies and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Promotes a healing environment and supports patient satisfaction.
• Transports patients and specimens as needed and documents care.
