Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide non-licensed patient care under a Registered Nurse, supporting the healthcare team and upholding the hospital’s mission and values.

Education: High School Diploma required; qualify with CNA licensure, nursing student nearing completion, prior PCT/EMT experience, or unlicensed assistive personnel training; benefits include day-one coverage, 401K, PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) or equivalent.
• Nursing student with completion of fundamentals course within 90 days of employment.
• Previous work as PCT, Nurse Assistant, EMT or Surgical Tech within last 3 years.
• Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program completion within last 3 years.

Position Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for performing non-licensed patient care in accordance with established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

To qualify for this position, you must meet at least one of the requirements below:

• Current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)
• Current Nursing student with completion of nursing fundamentals course within 90 days of employment
• Previous documented work experience as a PCT, Nurse Assistant, EMT or Surgical Tech within the last 3 years
• Successful completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the last 3 years
