Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses in delivering hands-on care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while helping RNs monitor conditions and execute care plans.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, teamwork, and attention to detail to restore comfort and dignity for patients each day.

Qualifications

1+ years continuous clinical experience as a PCA in a hospital or SNF or evidence of clinicals in nursing school.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS or BCLS) Course Completion and Certification.

Responsibilities

Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keeping patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
