Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Chandler-area hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. You will assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding, monitor vitals, document observations, and help prepare patients for procedures or transport.

The role requires compassion, diligence, keen observation, and a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing assistant program or completion of first block of nursing school.
• Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested
• Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
• Assists with patient admission, discharge, transfer. and/or transport throughout hospital as needed.
• Monitors and records patient vital signs, weight, positioning, ADL's I&O, activity and blood glucose readings per RN instructions, hospital protocols, and standards of care.
• Obtains specimens as directed and according to hospital protocol.
• Demonstrate respect for protection of patient's rights, including closing door/curtain while providing care.

Education

Nursing assistant program or first block of nursing school

Certified Nursing Assistant (AZ)

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
