Job summary

Emory Healthcare is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will assist with daily patient needs, transportation of specimens, and documentation while working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification; CNA licensure or nursing program enrollment with clinical rotations are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS required.
• One year of direct patient care experience.
• CNA license OR current enrollment in a nursing program with 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, including room cleaning and equipment handling.
• Communicate with patients, families and care team.
• Maintain hospital and unit-specific competencies.
• Promote a supportive, healing environment for patient and staff satisfaction.
• Assist in emergencies as directed by RN/LPN.
• Record patient intake and output.
