Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. The role includes assisting with daily patient needs, documenting care, and participating in safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and either CNA licensure, nursing program enrollment with clinical rotations, or related patient-care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• One of: 1) direct patient care experience, 2) completion of a nursing assistant training course, 3) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in GA, or 4) current enrollment in a nursing program with 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care tasks under RN/LPN direction.
• Communicate with patients, families and care team.
• Maintain unit competencies and adhere to safety standards.
• Assist with emergencies and patient procedures as directed by nurses.
• Operate clinical equipment and monitor patients as assigned.
• Document patient intake/output and care provided.
