Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CNA certification preferred; BLS/CPR within 90 days or orientation.
• Prior hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical care to assigned patients and performs point-of-care testing.
• Implements nursing orders with understanding of their purpose.
• Follows policies and maintains unit equipment.
• Maintains patient comfort with positioning, bathing, and linens.
• Ensures patient safety through alarms, rails, and hourly rounds.
• Enters data into the computer system and communicates observations to the nurse.
• Delivers age-appropriate care across the life span.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge.
• Prioritizes tasks with good judgment in patient care process.
• Collaborates with the health care team and patients.
