Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician in New Jersey. The role supports nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care, collects vitals, assists with admissions, and helps ensure patient comfort and safety.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and contribute to positive patient outcomes. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/Nursing Assistant program, and BLS certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a PCT/Nursing Assistant program or equivalent.
• AHA BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly and work within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across age groups per care plans.
• Document vitals and patient data; notify RN of abnormalities.
• Assist with patient admissions, assessments, and procedures.
• Support patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
• Maintain equipment readiness and prepare the patient environment.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards.
