Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision in a diverse hospital setting. You will participate in interdisciplinary care, perform routine clinical tasks, and support patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent programs.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician program or Nursing Fundamentals program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• Ability to learn quickly, work in a team, and deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age, safety, and education needs across populations.
• Assist with patient care tasks under RN supervision and participate in care planning.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and document findings.
• Perform venipuncture and basic laboratory tasks as directed.
• Ensure equipment readiness and maintain a safe patient environment.
• Support patient comfort, hygiene, and daily activities.
