Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking candidates for the Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprenticeship pathway. Eligible individuals may enter as PCT Apprentice and transition to a PCT role upon successful completion.

Educational routes include CNA/MA/PCT programs or Fundamentals of Nursing, or equivalent medical backgrounds such as EMT, HHA, CMA, MA, or Nursing Assistant. Preferred candidates include phlebotomy, EKG, and vitals experience, and a hospital setting background.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or Fundamentals of Nursing or HMH PCT Apprenticeship, or equivalent medical background (EMT, HHA, CMA, MA, PCT, Nursing Assistant).
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of entering position.
