Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Clinical Associate & Admin Associate to support patient care on the nursing unit. The role includes performing basic clinical and administrative duties under the RN, taking vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and helping with room service and nutrition needs.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), ability to read/write and perform basic math, and BLS within 90 days of hire. Flu vaccination is a likely standard for employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Vital Signs.
• Height and Weight.
• Oxygen Saturation.
• Reporting all unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collecting specimens for analysis.
• Recording and measuring intake and output.
• Providing patient care and assisting with daily activities.
• Performing basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RN.
• Providing nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding.
• Administrative Associate tasks: computer, clerical, and supply functions for nursing unit; handling communications and organization of patient medical records.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math

Desire to help people and/or aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional

Basic computer skills

Medical terminology

Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days of hire
