Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Clinical Associate & Admin Associate to support patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role covers vital signs, basic clinical procedures, nutrition support, and performing clerical duties essential to the nursing unit.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, ability to read/write, basic math, and preferred BLS and CNA certifications. Primaries are on-site in Massachusetts; vaccination policies apply.

• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred but not required upon hire.

• Administrative Associate performs computer, clerical, and supply functions for the nursing unit
• Handling communications between nursing unit, personnel and physicians, and organizing patient medical records

The Clinical Assoc & Admin Assoc assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focus on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained. The Clinical Assoc & Admin Assoc must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change.

• The Administrative Associate performs a variety of computer, clerical, and supply functions necessary for the operation of the nursing unit
• Responsibilities include handling and controlling written and verbal communications between nursing unit, personnel and numerous physicians, ancillary services, patients, visitors and families, and the organization of the patient medical record

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
• Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
• Basic computer skills (preferred)
• Medical terminology (preferred)
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire

Certification/License:

• CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire

Pay Range:

$21.50 - $28.94 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
