Job summary

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the third shift (nights). This unlicensed bedside role works under a licensed nurse to provide delegated nursing tasks, monitor patients, and support admissions and discharges.

Candidates should have HS diploma or equivalent and may hold CNA or other approved certifications; BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions.

Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
