Job summary

BayCare Health System, Emergency Service-SJS in St Josephs South, seeks a patient caregiver (CNA/PCT) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.

Requires Basic Life Support, EMT certification, and minimum experience as a patient caregiver. Education: high school diploma or GED; BayCare‑approved CNA/PCT program with 40 hours hands‑on care outside lab is preferred. On‑site, evening shift; equal opportunity employer.

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• EMT Certification.

Minimum Qualifications

You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:

• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
• 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
• Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program— that includes a program with a minimum of 40 hours hands‑on patient care experience outside of a lab setting
• EMT Certification
• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver

Education : Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion
