2737 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, Oregon, 97212-3037, United States of America

3 days per week

Dialysis Experience Required

The PCT works on-site at the Skilled Nursing Facility dialysis den.

MUST BE CERTIFIED IN DIALYSIS IN OREGON FOR THIS ROLE

Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, which adds significant burden on patients and increases avoidable healthcare costs. DSD Services teammates will have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita offers. Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and collaborating across departments.

What you can expect:

In this role, you are responsible for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. PCTs work alongside dialysis RNs to provide care.

Patient Care: Spending most of your day providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment in direct patient care.

Complexity: DSD Dialysis care is complex but rewarding. Meeting or exceeding clinical outcomes is essential, and multitasking is necessary to meet the needs of patients, the service, and SNF partners.

Autonomy and Critical Thinking: Provide comprehensive patient care independently. You will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, including measuring stats, observing patients, and setting up machines. The role requires constant attention and the ability to adapt quickly, with the satisfaction of seeing your care improve patients’ lives.

Position Details:

  • Your training includes classroom and hands-on learning through DaVita’s award-winning programs.
  • Training may occur in a facility or training clinic with classmates from other clinics.
  • Training hours may vary; typically, 32-40 hours per week during training.
  • Shifts are approximately 12 hours. Each den has 6 chairs. The SNF dialysis CCHT must support DaVita SNF dialysis dens in Memphis, including locations like Graceland, Cordova, and Spring Gate.
You must have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid and active dialysis certification in Oregon
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
Nice-to-have:
  • Background in healthcare education or training
What We Provide:
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, PTO cash out
  • Support for you and your family: resources, EAP counseling, Headspace, backup child/elder care, maternity/paternity leave, and more
  • Paid training: Classroom and hands-on, with reimbursement for CHT license
  • Preceptor University for training future clinical leaders
  • Career growth opportunities: DSSL & SPARK leadership programs, Bridge to Your Dreams RN pathway, 100+ free CEU courses, Gateway platform for career planning and recognition
