Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Archbold Mitchell Med/Surg
Position Description
- Assist RNs and LPNs with meeting the needs of hospitalized patients or nursing home residents
- Actively participate in nursing reports by receiving and contributing to status reports of patients
- Provide complete and thorough personal care for patients
- Take and accurately record vital signs
- Assist and accompany the patient in the admission, transfer and discharge process while assuring comfort and safety
- Promptly and consistently respond to patients' needs
- Promptly and consistently respond to the needs of family members
- Complete housekeeping responsibilities such as utility rooms and dietary kitchen as needed
- Assist with ADLs- personal care, feeding, bathing, and dressing
- Provide support to patients and family members
Experience/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous patient care experience in hospital setting preferred
- CNA certification preferred but not required
