Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. You will collect patient data, monitor vital signs, and assist with daily living activities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will help maintain clean patient rooms, manage supplies, and participate in patient record-keeping while ensuring patient comfort and safety under supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
• Certification: BLS required or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data, reporting to nurse.
• Obtain and record vital signs, intake/output, glucose monitoring.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment.
• Assist with patient records and data entry per BSWH standards.
• Respond to patient call lights and requests promptly.
