Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN. Patients served are mainly adults, with occasional pediatrics.

The role supports safe, clean environments and contributes to team efforts in a busy acute-care setting. On-site responsibilities include collaboration with nurses and other departments to meet patient needs and maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice.
• Meets psychosocial and physical needs of patients.
• Maintains patient communication and notifies RN of changes in status.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Performs treatments and services under RN supervision.
• Coordinates care with other departments for interdisciplinary needs.
• Maintains safety and accuracy in documentation and equipment use.
