Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is hiring a Full Time Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary for our Day Shift. This role interfaces with visitors, patients, family, and physicians, performing clerical and clinical duties under supervision.

Education requirements include a High School Diploma, Certified Nurse Assistant Certification, and BLS. Minimum 1 year hospital experience is preferred; familiarity with Electronic Health Records is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Assistant Certification, or equivalent.
• BLS Required.
• Minimum 1-year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Previous experience Electronic Healthcare Record helpful.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
• Performs clinical duties, under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing iv catheters, etc.
• Cleans rooms if needed.
• Assists RN’s as instructed.
• Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.
