Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Uptown in Dallas is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician for the Post Surgical Unit on day shift, 7a-7p. You will assist patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This role requires CPR certification and clinical experience preferred; training in aseptic technique, venipuncture, and EKG is a plus. The ideal candidate maintains safety, infection control, and quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Uptown is a joint venture surgical hospital between Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), United Surgical Partners International (USPI), and local physicians. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for to the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private Inpatient rooms, a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties.

Job Summary:

Assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Required Skills
