Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in the Observation Unit at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO. The role includes basic patient care, reporting, and coordination with RNs, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

The ideal candidate will hold CNA and BLS, demonstrate solid computer skills, and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in the state of practice is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Current enrollment in nursing school program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care including hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
• Report patient data and changes in condition promptly to RN.
• May perform telemetry duties and function as a health unit coordinator as needed.
• Transport medications to the RN and support unit record keeping.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
