Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of safety risks in healthcare and how to mitigate them.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and care partners.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinical team members.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with supplies and equipment to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to call lights.
• May perform as a virtual safety associate as needed.
• May facilitate telehealth exams using peripheral devices and telemedicine software.
