Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to support a 24/7/365 department with weekend and holiday rotation requirements. Includes full-time training (36 hours/week for 5 weeks) across day, night, and evening shifts and then ongoing role responsibilities in patient care.

The PCT will support diagnostic procedures, nursing treatments, charting, and patient instruction, with Tele-Companion and Tele-Tech duties as applicable. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Meet the Patient Care Tech competency assessment/skills checklist requirements within three months of hire.
• Complete Safety Companion/TeleCompanion competency and training where applicable.
• Utilize Standard Precautions in caring for all patients.
• Provide for patient safety and maintain patient satisfaction.
• Perform basic nursing care with dignity and respect.
• Collect and document patient information in the EHR.
• Order necessary supplies and perform basic treatments as trained.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
