Job summary

ST BERNARDS MEDICAL CENTER in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Patient Care Tech - Scrub Tech for Cardiology & Vascular. This Full Time, Day Shift role supports nurses and physicians in moving patients through the clinic, performing routine tasks and assisting with testing areas.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED; prior healthcare or physician office experience is preferred. The candidate should be neat, dependable and able to work well with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the designated nurse and or physician to complete their non-mission critical clinical duties as such duties relate to movement of the patient through the clinic environment and testing areas.

• Operate clinic specific software, equipment and assist with vital sign, assimilation according to established clinic protocols.
• Must have a neat appearance and positive disposition and be able to work well with individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Must be conscientious, dependable and adhere to the goals and mission of the clinic and medical center.

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED.

Experience

Prior health care and/or physician office experience is desired. Experience working with the public is helpful.

Physical

Normal physician office environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and/or soft tones. Occasional exposure to hazards. Demonstrate the ability to operate or learn to operate a multi-line phone, copier, fax, standard computer programs such as word. Continuous walking and standing. Frequent bending, stooping, pulling and pushing. Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. Pushing and or pulling up to 300lbs.
