Job summary

St. Bernards Medical Center is seeking an assistant to support nurses and physicians with patient movement through the clinic and testing areas. You will routinely greet and escort patients, operate clinic software, and help with vital signs according to established protocols.

The role requires neat appearance, dependability, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds in a physician office setting. This is a safety sensitive position with standard office and clinical duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• Prior health care and/or physician office experience is desired.
• This is a safety sensitive position with the clinic environment and equipment handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the designated nurse and/or physician with non-mission critical clinical duties related to moving patients through the clinic and testing areas.
• Routinely greet and escort patients and operate clinic software and equipment.
• Assist with vital signs and administrative tasks while adhering to clinic protocols.

Demonstrate the ability to operate or learn to operate a multi-line phone, copier, fax, standard computer programs such as word. Continuous walking and standing. Must be conscientious, dependable and adhere to the goals and mission of the clinic and medical center.
