ContinueCARE Hospital in Texas is seeking a Nursing Assistant to perform direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist patients with living skills such as bathing, eating and hygiene, and help with bed linens and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, collecting non-invasive specimens, assisting with procedures, and supporting perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma. One year in healthcare preferred.
• Current BLS.
• Experience in acute care or critical care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with living skills: bathing, eating, hygiene, changing bed linens.
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and document vitals.
• Aid physicians and nursing staff with procedures within scope of practice.
• Position patients, lift/turn, and assist with mobility and use of equipment.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care as needed.

Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assist patients with living skills bathing, eating, hygiene, changing bed linens. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens, gathers vital signs . Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures within the scope of practice. You will also provide general nursing care such as positioning patients; lifting and turning patients; applying/utilizing special equipment; assisting in use of bedpan, urinal or commode; ambulating the patient; pre-operative and post-operative care; and application of appliances, taking blood pressure and document appropriately.

Qualifications: Highschool diploma. One year in healthcare preferred. Current BLS. Experience working in an acute care environment or, critical care experience preferred.
