Job summary

Gold Coast Surgicenter, Llc seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the clinical team under supervision. You will assist with patient care, prepare post-operative kits, and help direct patients and doctors to the correct rooms.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile instruments and supplies, setting up required tests, and keeping waiting areas organized. A patient care tech program and BLS certification are preferred or required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a patient caretech program preferred, with at least six months' related patient-care experience.
• Current American Heart Association certification; BLS required.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under supervision, performs routine non-professional and professional care; unbagging and bagging equipment, make up post op kits, direct doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms, assist medical staff with patient care, perform visual fields, setup patients for required testing, keep instruments and equipment sterilized, maintain adequate supplies and keep front and back waiting rooms in order.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of a Patient care tech programpreferred and at least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients.
• Current American Heart Assn.
• BLS certificate Required.
