Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a PRN Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Riverton Surgery Center. You will perform routine care under supervision, assist in post-op kit assembly, and direct patients and physicians to appropriate rooms under guidance from medical staff.

Must have CNA preferred and BLS certification. Graduate of a patient care tech program preferred, with at least six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Patient care tech program preferred (CNA) and at least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients.
• Current American Heart Assn.
• BLS certificate Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine non-professional and professional care under supervision.
• Unbagging and bagging equipment; make up post op kits.
• Direct doctors and patients to appropriate rooms; assist medical staff with patient care.
• Perform visual fields; set up patients for required testing.
• Keep instruments and equipment sterilized; maintain adequate supplies.
• Keep front and back waiting rooms in order.

Riverton Surgery Center is looking for a PRN PCT to join their team! The center provides great patient care in partnership with local physicians, Intermountain Health, and Surgery Partners.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under supervision, performs routine non-professional and professional care; unbagging and bagging equipment, make up post op kits, direct doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms, assist medical staff with patient care, perform visual fields, setup patients for required testing, keep instruments and equipment sterilized, maintain adequate supplies and keep front and back waiting rooms in order.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of a Patient care tech program preferred (CNA) and at least six months prior related experience in assisting with care of patients.
• Current American Heart Assn.
• BLS certificate Required.
