Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma seeks a Regular Full Time Nursing Assistant for the Ortho floor (32 beds). You will provide basic patient care, help maintain a safe, clean environment, and support nurses during your shift.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CNA certification or 6 months CNA experience, and current BLS certification. Day shift, with evening, night and weekend differentials as listed.

• Evening differential $1.50/hr.
• Night differential $1.75/hr.
• Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Ortho is a 32 bed orthopedic floor. We also take med/surg overflow and cardiac overflow. We are a center of excellence with certifications in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacements and Hip Fractures.

Qualifications

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant

Experience

• Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification

• Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
