Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (evening shift, per diem) to assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care. You will support a safe, compassionate patient experience and serve as a clinical resource for Nursing Assistants and monitors.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional service, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team to maintain a clean, compassionate unit environment while ensuring patient comfort

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or Equivalent and Nursing Assistant Course Work
• Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year CNA experience.

The Patient Care Tech. assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT7s and is cross-trained to Unit Associate or Monitor Technician. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS

• Nursing Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support\
• (Basic EKG) If cross trained as a Monitor Technician
• Successful completion of GSMC EKG test
