Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Night shift on-site. The role supports patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care, serves as a preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCTs, and may cross-train as Unit Associate or Monitor Technician.

Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, assisting in direct and indirect patient care, coordinating transport, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

High School Graduation or Equivalent and Nursing Assistant Course Work
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Basic Life Support, (Basic EKG) If cross trained as a Monitor Technician, GSMC EKG test, CPI due within 30 days of hire/transfer, Certified Medical Assistant or 1 year CNA experience.

Job Description

Job Shift: Nights

The Patient Care Tech assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT’s and is cross-trained to Unit Associate or Monitor Technician. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education:
