Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day-shift, full-time Oncology Unit Patient Care Technician (PCT). You will perform basic patient care under nursing supervision and assist with daily activities.

You will monitor patients, record vital signs, and communicate with the Registered Nurse to support compassionate, high-quality care in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed some high school education.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
• Certification as a PCT or CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
